Welcome

How we are with people matters; more than we often realise. Culture and attitudes shape people’s wellbeing and their ability to work with compassion, effectiveness, and safety. Humanising relationships flourish when services are built with the people and communities who use them, rather than for them.

Whatever our roles, we are all part of those communities.

Real culture and attitudinal change takes time and courage. As a teacher at heart, I create bespoke training that blends a trauma-informed approach with my lived and professional experience. I bring insights from years of navigating mental health and related services in both South Africa and Northern Ireland, alongside work in educational settings.

This work supports organisations across sectors including Health Trusts, GP Practices, Police, Ambulance Services, Education, and Community & Voluntary groups.

In All I Do …

I aim to create spaces using innovative approaches, where sensitive and challenging issues can be opened and explored safely and all perspectives are welcomed. I believe conditions where people feel safe, valued, listened to and heard, where relationships are based on trust and mutual respect, the potential to change lives is limitless. This comes with many years’ experience developing and delivering responsive education working alongside those in statutory, community and voluntary sectors. It also comes with personal experience of trauma and how our systems, even unintentionally, can cause further harm. Change begins with us. One relationship at a time.

“When you embark on an ambitious project, that seeks to change how mental health care is delivered on a large scale, you need visionaries who can see and advise you as to what your end goal should be, who have rigorously examined research and practice.  Lisa Morrison has successfully brought these abilities to the table in a number of regional workstreams, whilst also skilfully connecting her experiences and learning with that of other stakeholders.  Lisa has encouraged and facilitated brave and difficult conversations around coproduction, trauma and suicide, with skill and insights that have been of immense value in our work.”
